Ever since Jacobsen introduced the all electric Eclipse 322 in 2010, Red Iron loyalists have been waiting with bated breath for their version. The time has come...

At GIS '19 in San Diego Toro showed 2 non-hydraulic triflexes; one an engine powered generator version and one all electric.

The electric/generator version is powered by a 14 hp Kawasaki engine that runs at 2200 rpm to power the generator. The all electric version has a 48 volt Samsung li-ion battery pack.

Both come with Radius Dependent Speed(RDS) which has individual wheel speed control; I'm guessing it acts something similar to a limited-slip differential in a vehicle. It's to reduce tire scrubbing on turf in turns; ie, the cleanup pass. They have "Auto Brake" when leaving the seat; and can go 10 mph in transport. The engine version will be available this summer and the battery version later this year. All accessories on current triflex cutting units will be avilable on these units as well.
